Brenda and Ashley Tindall have taken part in numerous writing conferences; Brenda is also part of a writing critique group that works to support, educate and encourage each other. Their involvement in the writing community has equipped them to co-write a memoir telling their families journey following Ashley’s catastrophic motor vehicle accident. Brenda shares her insights as a caregiver and parent while Ashley informs the reader what her experience was as a survivor. They are both active advocates for brain injury education and prevention. Ashley has written an article for the Ontario Brain Injury Association magazine highlighting her journey of recovery. She has also been profiled in the MedicAlert newsletter. In 2023 Brenda and Ashley won the Word Guild award for the Non-Fiction Life Stories category for their book The Way I See Things. In all of their writing endeavors, their desire is for others to know you are never truly alone and there is always help and hope.
