After spending the last twenty-some years perfecting the art of escapism through books, Samantha (they/she) decided it was time to pick up the pen and write their own story. She uses the art of poetry to work through her trauma and rewrite it into an account of self-love. In February 2022, Samantha self-published their debut poetry chapbook, Sam White and the seven inner demons. Since then, her poetry has also appeared in Rural Route and King Mosaic magazines. Her pastimes include checking out library books faster than she can actually read them, asking Finnegan, "What do you have in your mouth now?!", and the occasional existential crisis.
