Guelph poet and translator, Nina Kirkegaard, leads a free workshop on Poetry In Translation, Sunday February 9, 2:00 PM, at the downtown location of the Guelph Public Library, as part of Vocamus Writers Community's Free February Writing Workshops each Sunday in February.
Come hear some excellent examples of poetry read in their original language and English translation. Gather practical tips on how to translate some of your favourite poems into a second language, or become inspired to seek out a greater diversity of writers in your personal reading list.
Nina Kirkegaard is a French student at the University of Guelph. She is fluent in Spanish and speaks some Danish. She focuses her studies on translation and has been involved in the Guelph writing community since 2016. Her poetry has been published in Rhapsody.
Admission is free. You can register at this link – https://guelphpl.libnet.info/event/3560377
