The Children's Reading Room is working with the Canadian Children’s Literacy Foundation to offer a new program – Lost & Found: Pandemic Stories of Discovery as Told by Kids in Canada.
If you have children ages 0-12 and are interested in teaching them about story-making, you can register for these free Lost & Found workshops, where children will learn about writing, art, movement and oral storytelling while shaping their own pandemic narratives. They will also have the chance to share these stories in a national, public, online gallery.
Registration is open now. Families can select either two Friday after-school workshops (Dec 2 & 9 from 4-6 pm) or two Saturday morning workshops (Dec 3 & 10 from 10 am-noon) in order to participate.
At least one parent/caregiver must stay with their child/ren for the duration of each 2-hour workshop. The Lost and Found program will be run at The Children's Reading Room at 210 Silvercreek Parkway North. The entrance is at the back of the building. Snacks will be provided.
Please email info@childrensreadingroom.org or call 226 706 9845 to register. The program is open for all children ages birth to 12 years.
