TOM VAINE lives in Elora, Ontario, and works as a high school teacher. He has a graduate degree in Literature Studies, with a focus on speculative fiction. While he spends much of his reading and writing time working in this genre, he also writes poetry which uses archetypes and mythology to help explore our every day lives. It is Tom's belief that speculative fiction can do a lot more work than weaving fantastical stories of tin men in cigar shaped spaceships. That said, he does think the monsters are pretty cool.
Tom's stories have appeared in Bewildering Stories online magazine as well as Rhapsody, Guelph's annual poetry collection.
