Darcy Hiltz is an Archivist / Librarian at Guelph Public Library, where he manages archival records and provides reference services to the public. He writes, through his FaceBook profile, about genealogy and information management.
A native of Nova Scotia, he holds an MLIS from Dalhousie University and a BA Hons in History and Sociology from Acadia University. He also completed a Certificate in Creative Writing from Conestoga College and a Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies (Librarianship) from the National Institute of Genealogical Studies.
In his spare time he writes poetry, is an avid student, tends to his family’s history, swims, and assists his father on his farm during the summer and fall. He is married and lives in Fergus, Ontario.
