Kevin Heslop's launches his new Frog Hollow Press chapbook on Thursday, October 24, 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at The Bookshelf, featuring readings by Guelph poet Mike Chaulk and former Guelph poet John Nyman.
Kevin Heslop is a poet, actor, and journalist from London, Ontario. He writes for the London Arts Council, is resident interviewer for The /temz/ Review and Poetry London, and organizes lomp: reading series. The Blasted Tree published his first chapbook in 2018; this, with Frog Hollow Press, is his second.
shortlisted for the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award in 2017. He has two new chapbooks forthcoming: a sequence of visual and textual erasures titled Your Very Own (JackPine Press), and a poetry collection titled The Devil (knife | fork | book). Mike Chaulk lives in Guelph, Ontario, where he drives trucks full of beer for a living. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Best Canadian Poetry 2018, The Malahat Review, Arc Poetry Magazine, The Puritan, PRISM: International, and filling station, among other places. His debut poetry collection, Night Lunch, will be published by Guelph's Gordon Hill Press in Spring 2020.
