I originally wrote this story from a prompt and decided to use it as a basis for a short film. I so enjoyed producing and directing the film called Thicker Than Water, and was lucky enough to have it appear at a Raindance presentation in Toronto.

I decided to rewrite the story and have now published it under the name of The Red Bag.

Three brothers, each of whom have been affected by a plague that has changed the world, have to come to terms with the ways in which their family has been affected.

It was published in 2025 as part of The Headwaters Writers' Guild collection of members' prose, called Story Seeds.

She is an educator for writers, from beginners to advanced, and has taught in Fergus, Elora, Guelph University's Writer's Festival, and has participated in Festivals from Ottawa to Toronto.
