At the age of 27, my life was at a standstill. Unemployed with an unmarketable university degree, off the road from touring in rock bands, in a shaky relationship, without direction in life, backpacking through Latin America was my escape. Ill-prepared for what I was about to encounter, lost in life was to become Lost in Latin America... through war-torn countries, getting lost in jungles, harassed by military and police, living with drug smugglers, caught between paradise and misadventure.
