Dale Greenwood is a writer of poetry, short and long stories, song lyrics, and academic papers. He holds degrees from the University of Waterloo, University of Toronto, and Western University.
In the late 1980s/early 1990s, he worked at the University of Guelph (both at the Bullring and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics), Timer’s Restaurant on Macdonell St., Out of the Blue Vintage Clothing on Carden St., and West End Bakery on Douglas St.
Also back then, he was the publisher of Guelph’s one-issue experimental literary magazine, You Will Pay for Such Foolishness, a solo music performer, and a bandmember of both Love’s Ugly Children and the Trembling Mimsies.
Then he left Guelph for 32 years. Now, he and his wife are back in town with their large dog, Juno. Their two grown daughters live elsewhere, but everybody is on good terms.
Dale earned the Certificate in Creative Writing from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies in July 2024.
He is currently working on a noir, sci-fi novella, among other things.
