Shayne Coffin's Royal City Blues is a new collection of four longer experimental poems that are one-part love letter, one part break up letter, an anthropological study and environmental plea made from life-long observations of the changing dynamics of the poet's hometown of Guelph, exploring the past, present and future with neutrality and some tough love, in his own words and the words of forgotten and overlooked Guelphites.
SHAYNE COFFIN was born and raised in Guelph, Ontario. He attended Fanshawe College in London, graduating from their Theatre Arts program. While there, he privately printed his first collection of poetry, New Year's Resolution, in 2015. He is an award winning actor, having appeared in over 25 stage productions across Southwestern Ontario, as well as the TVO miniseries, The Bruce.
