Friends of Vocamus Press is pleased to welcome Elora author Tom Vaine.
Tom lives in Elora, Ontario, and works as a high school teacher in the local area. He has a graduate degree in Literature Studies, with a focus on speculative fiction, and spends all of his reading and writing time working in this genre. Why should fantasy find itself relegated to being only tales of swords and sorcery? What can reading stories of the boogey-man show us about the parts of ourselves we don't wish to see? It is Tom's belief that SF can do a lot more work than weaving fantastical stories of tin men in cigar shaped spaceships. That said, he does think the monsters are pretty cool.
