Vocamus Writers Community is once again partnering with the Guelph Public Library to run its annual Teen Writing Contest and to publish the winners in the ETCH anthology.
Are your kids in grades 7-12 sitting around the house complaining that they have nothing to do during lockdown? Of course they are.
So get them to write a short story of 1,500 words or less on the theme “Viral” and submit is by email only to teens@guelphpl.ca by 5:00 PM on Saturday, March 19, 2022.
Short story entries must be their own original writing, submitted as a .doc or .docx file. There is no entry fee.
You can find all the details here – https://www.guelphpl.ca/en/kids-and-teens/teen-etch-.aspx.
And if they don't know where to start, they can join an online information / q&a session on February 9 – https://guelphpl.libnet.info/event/5987774.
