Vocamus Writers Community is pleased to introduce Maria Stengos Camamert as our 2018 ETCH Coordinator. She'll be helping us to liaison with the Guelph Public LIbrary's Teen Writing Contest, communicate with our lovely mentor authors, and help plan the launch event. We're glad to have her aboard!
Maria graduated from the University of Guelph and achieved a Masters of Arts, English literature and Film studies at Wilfred Laurier. She prefers the genres of psychological horror, fantasy, magic realism, and immigrant fiction, and is an avid watcher of anime, foreign dramas, and cartoons. She is interested in the topics of mortality, complicated emotions, and soulmates, which she visits in her own personal writing. She keeps in touch with her artsy side by drawing, cosplay, and frequenting anime conventions. She is generally a quiet person, a fast reader, and a deep conversationalist once you get her talking. She believes strongly that age is only a number.
