  • The Book Bash Festival is on November 5th, 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at the Guelph Farmer's Market! Details here – https://vocamus.net/community/blog/guelph-book-bash-festival.

  • Guelph writer Jeffery Wilkinson and his co-author Raja G. Khouri launch their book The Wall Between, on Tuesday November 7, 7:00 PM, in The Bookshelf Cinema. $10. – https://vocamus.net/community/events/2023/11/jeffery-wilkinson-book-launch.
  • Vocamus Writers Community is collaborating with Guelph Spoken Word to present the Off the Page Open Mic on Tuesday November 7, 7:30 PM, at Wellington Brewery.

  • The Guelph Guild of Storytellers is at the Guelph Civic Museum on Thursday November 9 at 7:00 PM. Local tellers and invited guests will tell stories, followed by a short open mic.

  • Vocamus Writers Community's Second Saturday writers' hang-out is on November 11, 7:00 PM at Atmosphere Cafe on Carden Street. It's a casual and unstructured chance to meet with other writers, have a drink, and chat about what you're reading and writing. All are welcome.
  • Guelph author Melinda Burns is offering an online Late Fall Writers Group on Wednesdays, November 15 to December 19. $60 +HST. To register, e-mail Melinda Burns at mbeburns@sympatico.ca.

  • The Bookshelf presents its first Bookshelf Salon on Friday November 17, 7:00 PM, at 44 Suffolk Street West, featuring Lisa Moore, editor of 2024 Best Canadian Stories – https://vocamus.net/community/events/2023/11/bookshelf-salon.. $5. Space is limited.

  • The Vocamus Writers Community Genre Fiction Group will meet in-person on Sunday November 19, 2:00 PM. This month is a group discussion on the new developments in Artificial Intelligence. Email vocamusgenregroup@gmail.com for the location.

  • Eramosa Eden is holding a writers' retreat from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on October 22 at 178 Indian Trail, Township Of Guelph/Eramosa. Wifi is available, and coffee is provided. Bring your own lunch. $25.

  • Join the VWC Poetry Group online on Saturday November 25, from 2:00 to 3:30 PM. It's an informal group for poets at various points in their careers but working seriously on their craft, coordinated by Nikki Everts and Marianne Micros. Email vocamuswriterscommunity@gmail.com for the link.

  • Join us in person for our Last Sunday Writers' Hang-Out for an informal chance to meet and chat with other authors at Planet Bean on Sunday November 26, at 1:00 PM. All are welcome.
