Vocamus Writers Community is looking for a volunteer Assistant Book Bash Festival Coordinator to work with Managing Director Jeremy Luke Hill to produce the 2022 Book Bash Festival.
The festival will be held in late October or early November, and will include books from 2020 and 2021 as well.
The role involves working with other volunteers on some or all of the following tasks, depending on where your gifts and interests lie: planning the event; interacting with venues, authors, publishers, and donors; designing and producing promotional materials; doing advertizing and promotion through traditional and social media; and organizing volunteers.
The ideal candidate would be both relationally engaging and administratively adept; a resident of Wellington County; familiar with writing and book culture; and able to commit a maximum of 5 hours a week to a volunteer role (usually far less, perhaps a little more on the week of the festival). Familiarity with and access to InDesign would be an asset.
