The Vocamus Writers Community annual Spring Retreat on Manitoulin Island runs from Friday, June 19 to Sunday, June 21, and we'd love you to join us!
We’ll pick you up around 9:00 AM on Friday, June 19 and drop you off at home sometime late on the evening of Sunday, June 21. You'll spend two nights and the better part of two days at a cottage on beautiful Dominion Bay, Manitoulin Island, with all your transportation, ferry tickets, and meals provided. You'll have ample quiet time to write during the day, and then a campfire with a few drinks and some chat in the evening.
Dominion Bay is on the south shore of Manitoulin Island, with a huge sand beach, plenty of room to hike and explore, and lots of quiet places to write inside and out. The cottages have three bedrooms (so you'll have two cabin mates), complete linens, full bathrooms, kitchens for making snacks, and outlets for your laptops (but no wifi – we're roughing it after all). The cottages are heated too (and we may still need it up there in June).
The cost is $500. If you'd like to come, let us know as soon as possible so that we can plan for numbers.
