  • Book Bash 2025 is officially a go!  The next edition of our celebration of local writing will be held on Sunday November 9, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at The Round Table at 32 Essex Street in Guelph. Save the date!

Events

  • The Guelph Enabling Garden and the Guelph Guild of Storytellers are holding Tea ‘n’ Tales at the Guelph Enabling Garden located within Riverside Park for its 17th season, beginning on June 13 and continuing every Friday until September 12. Each hour-long performance begins at 10:30 AM.

  • The Women's Writing Circle meets every first Saturday of the month, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Village Loom in Eden Mills. $15-20 suggested donation or PWYC. Drop-in welcome. Email villageloom@gmail.com.

  • The VWC Second Saturday writers' hang-out is on July 12, 7:00 PM at a NEW LOCATION – Royal Electric Bar and Eatery at 52 Macdonell Street.

  • Zandra Juarez leads a Vocamus Writers Community workshop, "Demystifying the Personal Essay", on Tuesday July 22, 6:00 PM, at Vocamus Writers Community's space at 255 Woolwich Street.

  • The Sharing Our Stories, Speaking Our Truth open mic with guest author Carol Duncan. on Thursday July 24 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Cafe Creperie (40 Mill Street West, Elora). For more information or to sign up to read, email lisa@onethousandtrees.com.

  • Join the VWC Poetry Group online on Saturday July 26, from 2:00 to 3:30 PM. It's an informal group for poets at various points in their careers. Email vocamuswriterscommunity@gmail.com for the link.

  • Join us for our VWC Last Sunday Writers' Hang-Out, an informal chance to meet and chat with other authors at the the front cafe table in Miijidaa on Sunday July 27, at 1:00 PM. All are welcome.
