Sylvia Plester-Silk, RSW, is an award-winning intuitive Social Worker who integrates traditional therapy with energy work and Akashic Readings to help individuals transform their lives into ones that are fully on purpose.

As she likes to say, way back in ancient history, in 1988, she graduated from the Social Work program at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute (now Toronto Metropolitan University). Over the next two decades, while working for multiple community agencies, she guided thousands of individuals through addictions, mental health, and trauma to find their way. While she was powerful in this work, her results became exponential when she added energy therapies into her practice in the mid-1990s.

Sylvia opened her private practice in 2004. Her clients find her energy-based, direct, honest approach refreshing.

On Purpose Transformations guides her clients in achieving emotional freedom, harmonious relationships, and a joy-filled life.

She is the author of Healing is Possible: Ten Things You Need to Know to Heal and its Companion Journal. In 2013, she wrote Unleashing Team Potential: Lessons for Managers from My Canine Friends, which was highlighted in the Globe and Mail

She is a regular guest on Podcasts where she inspires audiences with her insights.

Sylvia finds herself grounded and energized by spending time in nature, whether at the local beaches of Georgian Bay or the majestic tip of Machu Picchu.

She lives in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, with her husband, Mark.
