ALLISON ROLAND JAY was born in the family farm house in Fanningbrook, P.E.I. At age six, his family moved from the farm to the village of Mount Stewart nearby, where he met his friend Donald “Barney” Ross. At age eighteen, he joined the R.C.M.P. and served twenty-five years in Nova Scotia and Ontario. He worked the next fifteen years in Occupational Health and Safety with the Transportation Safety Association of Ontario. he is now retired and living with his wife Margaret in Rockwood, Ontario.
