D.L. Castle was born in New Brunswick and moved to Guelph in 1985. She is married with four daughters, three sons-in-law, and six grandchildren.
She retired in 2015 and began writing her first book, One Upon A Lost Girl, an inspirational memoir based on her experiences after age twelve when her mother passed away. The book also has sections of personal thoughts after each chapter, designed to help others overcome similar obstacles in their lives.
She is currently working on a novel.
