Kate Howells is a science writer with a specialization in planetary science and space exploration. She writes about these topics for the non-profit organization The Planetary Society, including articles on their website and in their quarterly magazine. In 2017, Kate's book, Space Is Cool as F**k, was published by Pantera Press. It was republished by Andrews McMeel in 2020, and then releaed as an audiobook that won gold in the audiobook nonfiction category in the 2022 Independent Publisher Book Awards. Kate has also published articles about space, sea creatures, science ethics, and other topics in the Montreal-based Editorial Magazine. Kate's second book, Moons: The Mysteries and Marvels of the Solar System, is due for publication with Pantera Press in April 2024.
