Kira Vermond

KIRA VERMOND received her first (friendly) rejection letter from a kids’ magazine when she was 11. But did that stop her from wanting to be a writer? No way. Today, Kira is a super-busy author and journalist for grownups and kids with over 1,000 articles in publications such as The Globe and Mail and Chatelaine. She also has three books, including The Secret Life of Money: A Kid’s Guide to Cash and Growing Up, Inside and Out. You may have even heard her voice on CBC radio in the morning chatting about work and money (two topics she loves to talk and write about.)

She now lives in Guelph, Ontario with her husband, a couple of fabulous kids, a dog named Marbles and a guinea pig who has serious attitude. She’s hard at work on her next two books.
