Kulsoom Abbas is a culinary chemist with a passion for food wellness and community building born in Karachi Pakistan. She immigrated to Ontario Canada in 1975 where she married her husband and raised a daughter and son. She is now the proud grandmother of four grand daughters, and one grandson after years of ill health that started from her childhood. She began her healing journey by utilizing food as her medicine along with natural health modalities, she founded her Catering Company Claypot, Catering, Inc. in 2008 to provide East Indian inspired, organic and natural cuisine to her community. Kulsoom loves to teach, and when she is not busy conjuring up recipes, she is sharing her tips in cooking workshops around the GTA this is Kulsoom’s first collection of recipes embedded with personal stories of her early experiences in the kitchen and the special connection she had with her mother learning about the nutrition, energetics and cultivation of good food from field to plate.
