Kinnery Chaparrel (they/she) is a poet, scholar, and disability activist who is strongly influenced by their identities as multiply-disabled, neurodivergent, chronically ill, mad/mentally ill, queer, and low-income. They were born in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, and raised throughout Ontario. She now lives in Guelph, Ontario, with her cat Sylvia. Kinnery’s poetry has previously appeared in Sinister Wisdom and Prairie Fire.
